The
TJIRC WazzUp was designed by Eric Rowan as a fun to fly slope soarer that really shines in radical big air aerobatics, yet has the efficiency to fly with style on marginal days also. The Wazzup is easy to fly for a less experienced sloper but really shows its abilities in the hands of an experienced pilot.
The WazzUp is all molded in carbon fibe and glass to a high standard by TJIRC. The fit and finish are very good, colours are brilliant with clean edges. The push rods and elevator bell crank are pre-installed and the RC installation is straightforward.
The WazzUp can be built as a pure glider or can be equipped with a motor. The build manual covers both builds. The manual can be downloaded
here. The manual is not a step by step build manual, but is an example of how the aircraft can be fitted out; as well as recommended settings for the first flight.
An unusual design decision is Wazzup's triangular fuselage. It is nearly flat on the bottom and makes holding the model very easy, it also gives you a lot of room inside the fuselage which is useful if you want to install an electric motor. There is lots of room for electronics and battery, but the fuselage is still very sleek - very nice balance for both applications.
Another unusual feature is the very slightly forward swept wings, coupled with the rather long tail moment and full flying cross tail. This makes theWazzup very smooth and she tracks through the sky beautifully. See this

The carbon layup model is approx 100g heavier.
The electric version should not weigh any more as the powertrain will replace the nose weight.
