Description

KST delivers once again with the KST HS08 series competition servos for F5J glider pilots and soaring enthusiasts who demand the best! The all new HS08 are almost as compact as the much loved KST X08 series and offer power and performance levels approaching that of the X10 Mini servos in an 8 mm thick case. The slim 8mm thick casing is crafted from 7075 aluminium alloy, so not only do these servos look fantastic but they are also very rigid and robust.

The HS08 series are available with wing mounting tabs (A version) or normal mounting tabs (B version), to allow convenient installations in fuselages or wings or even tail surfaces. This is the KST HS08A, the wing mount version

The KST HS08A has a hardened steel drive train and a coreless motor capable of running all the way from 3.8V to 8.4V (1S to 2S LiPo) making these WV (wide voltage range) servos will deliver the power and reliability you need.

KST HS08A wing servos

I recently ordered a pair of these servos plus 4 other KST servos and some bits and pieces from Hyperflight as part of a refurbishment of an old slope soarer. There was a minor problem with the bits and pieces, but that was very quickly remedied after a phone call to Neil. Excellent servos, and excellent service, as always, from Hyperflight

Not centering well on f3f glider

Installed these in an f3b glider on ailerons and they are not centering well. Mini x10s are fine. I will have to do some additional testing, I will pull servos and test centering.

This KST servo has more backlash than the MKS 6100 servo, but it works well under all voltages. If you prefer no backlash, it's better to use the MKS.

F5J Flap servo

Bravely fitted these as Flap servos in an El Nino. A 10mm servo would have been a very tight fit in the thin wing. Fits perfectly in the same frames as the rest of the X8 range. Landed several times today and threw the glider around in breezy conditions. Behaved perfectly on 7.5V.
