RESilience W Competition Elekro is designed as a competition and sport RES F5L electric glider. The model is set apart from other RES models by its good long-distance performance which allow it to fly quickly through sink. This and its very good thermal performance ensure the model is not only fun to sport fly, but ready to win competitions with ease. The W in the name is to indicate this is an all wood model, with carbon only used in the tailboom.
The heart of the model is an elliptical surface wing with a D-box, which increases the laminar flow over the wing, reducing drag. The middle section is equipped with a ballast box that allows ballasting with up to four rectangular ballast slugs. We recommend our custom ballast set as an accessory. The ballast box is located directly at the centre of gravity position. This ensures that the centre of gravity does not shift when ballasting. The low-drag fuselage, is tiny and very functional. The version we are stocking has an X tail.

The fuselage is designed for a Hacker A10-7L 4.4:1 but will accept a 22mm diameter outrunner. However it can take 25mm non-rotating case motor like the Dualsky XM2532EG-16 if it is built in during construction. This gives a fast vertical climb in a very thin low drag fuselage and is the option we would select.
