Quality kit but decided not suitableBought as a winter project and a new f3RES model for our club competitions next summer. Unfortunately, having inspected the kit, in particular the fuselage, I decided it was not suited to my needs. The fuz is very small and delicate with only a very small space for the Rx battery. So much so, that only a 2s lipo will fit and then only a 300mAh capacity, without modification of the nose area. I didn't want to buy HV servos for a budget model as that would add a considerable amount to the cost. So, I asked Neil for a return and thankfully he agreed to take it back for a full refund. Fantastic service Neil, thankyou so much! I have now purchased the "Slite" model which is a little more generously sized and accommodates a 4s / 700 mAh NiMh battery with a tiny mod to the nose and my budget servos.

Resilience buildJust finished building the Resilience and I really enjoyed building it, super glider and it’s going to be a cracking flyer.
I have built a lot of 2m RES models now and this one is different. The kit and plans are laid out really well, really good quality wood and bits.
Build wise, first off let me start by saying it’s not a beginners model, if you’ve never built before it’s not for you. The wing build itself is a bog standard Dbox wing, but the dihedral joiners are made from wood, not carbon rods. Mistakes can be made at the wing joining stages and installing the top part of the D. The tailplane construction can be tricky as the jig is good but sloppy if you are not careful. The rest of the build is fun and the result is a really good looking model.
All in all, it’s been the best RES 2m model I have built so far. I’d definitely recommend the Resilience, thank you Neil for providing the kit and accessories.

Very ImpressedThe RESilience is an excellent F3L model. Materials are superb; the plans are complete and clear; parts count is low and performance is great! The high quality of the laser cutting will astound any builder. Mine, empty, breaks the 400g threshold in the right direction, but I have learned to fly in big winds with it: simply stick in the ballast pack (available as an option). Under ballast, it goes like stink, as we say around here. The wing uses the same profile as the Purito (among many others), and it behaves well at any speed. This would make a tremendous second build for any neophyte (I would always recommend a wing based on a carbon tube for a first-time build). For an experienced flyer, this model will be very impressive at any weight or in any wind.
