Description

This Hacker A10-7L includes 4.4:1 gearbox to allow the motor to turn a large, efficient prop and produce great thust, even at low currents.

Mount the powertrain using two M2 bolts 7mm long (not included).

When using a 3S LiPo and a 12" or 13" diameter prop it will give a great climb on a 2m RES glider weighting up to 700g. Not really suitable for use on a 2S LiPo as a 15x8 or larger prop would be required.

Addendum

And the drive shaft is quite short so you need a thin firewall and a 10mm central hole to get the gearbox as far up into the nose as possible.
Mine is mounted to a 1.5mm plate with is then screwed onto the front of the model.

Excellent motor

Good motor, drives a 13x8 prop pulling 10 amps on a 3s battery, gives a vertical climb on my x-res circle dancer.
Two things to be aware of:
Mounting screw holes are very close to the centre so you have to be careful drilling the firewall.
If you don't have good ventilation the heat from the motor soaks through to the gearbox and eventually the drive pinion separates from the motor drive shaft. The good news is that it's very easy to take the gearbox off and reattach the pinion with high strength locktite.
