The
LDARC XT1806-2500 is a good quality 21 g outrunner with a KV of 2500 RPM/V for F5K and other small models up to about 600 g. This is exactly the same motor as now used in the Vladimir's Models Snipe 2e powerset, so it has a proven performance history.
A
Vladimir's Models Snipe 2e powerset can be made up by matching this motor with a
HyperFlight 25A BLHELI-32 ESC, a
VM 25mm Spinner for 5mm shafts and a pair of
VM Modified Grp 6x3 folding prop blades.
The motor has a 5 mm diameter shaft threaded M5 so it works best with spinners designed for this, like the
VM 25mm Spinner for 5mm shafts and the
CN Models 25mm Spinner for 5mm shafts.
We recommend the
LDARC XT1806-2500 is used on 2S LiPo batteries with a maximum prop size of 6"x3", however larger props can be used if the motor run time is limited to a few seconds, or the ESC is limited to less than full throttle by using an end point adjustment on the throttle channel.
The supplied M2 motor mounting bolts are too long and can protrude into the motor and damage the windings when using a thin firewall. Either shorten the bolts or use washers to avoid this.
