Excellent Service, great modelExcellent service from hyperflight. 1st time I had purchased and I must say I was impressed. Items were dispatched very quickly and were very well boxed. I am also very impressed with the quality of the voodoo. I am looking forward to the build and getting it flying. I went for the cheaper bluebird servos, which I have tested and they all seem fine. I will definitely be using hyperflight services again, kepp up the great work guys, thank you.

2nd VoodooI bought another Voodoo to try out a little outrunner, they are awesome machines both in build quality and flight. My first is powered by a Mega 16/15/3, 4s, 1000mAh, so the fuselage is tightly packed to say the least. The performance is something else. I thought for the second one I'd give the little Emax outrunner (pictured) a go. Today was it's maiden flight and just like the first one it flew straight as an arrow and needed no trim changes. I used a 4.1x4.1 prop and a 4S 850mAh pack. With the outrunner there is plenty of room in the fuselage and with the battery well forward it balanced perfectly. The performance was great, I can't quote an exact speed but it was faster than my Efxtra (4S) but obviously not quite as fast as my other Voodoo. The Emax is less than half the weight of the Mega.

VoodooGood service , super Quick. Well done hyperflite. The model well made ,superb finish, small & fiddly to fit everything in. Looking forward to 1st flight

Very RewardingTook a good couple of man days to build with care and attention to detail. First flight was with an Emax RS2306 motor (2750Kv) turning a 4.5x4.1 prop running on 3 cell 850mAh pack. All up weight 370g. Run time 4-5 minutes at sports flying pace. Lots of speed potential with up to 4 cell and 5x5 prop feasible. Beautifully finished model. I can see why these are so popular. Profile tiny so be very careful with sighting!!!

Nice but expensiveThe voodoo arrived in a large box very well packaged. It is surprising to see how small it is in such a large box. The finish is very good. Getting back to size, there isn't a lot of room to get everything in, so it does take a bit of fiddling to make everything fit.
I've installed a 28mm 3000kV motor and 40A ESC, but from cheaper brands than suggested here. With a 4.1 x 4.1 prop and 1250 3S pack the model flies pretty fast, but not as blisteringly fast as I was expecting. I may try a 3500-3700kV motor at a later date. Landings were fast(ish) and it does glide for quite a bit. It also gets very small very quickly in the sky.
In terms of value, it is very expensive for what it is, not helped by the fact that you have to buy absolutely everything to get it in the air. I also thing the £22 postage costs is a rip-off within the UK. It is currently the most expensive and smallest addition to my hangar, although it is fun.
HyperFlight Comment: The delviery cost was due to the fact that the parcel was not delivered to a mainland UK destination.

FantasticMy voodoo arrived well packaged and protected very quickly. Quality is superb although it is a very tight squeeze to fit everything in. Instructions show layout as very simple but try finding an esc and battery the size that is shown??!! Flies great and very impressed.

The model arrived securely packed, all be it a couple of days late as Parcelforce misdirected it to the wrong sorting office. Quality was as good as the VIP it was replacing, i.e. superb. It is slightly harder to fit out than the VIP, partly because of the two servo wing which I stuck with. Space is even more at a premium than the VIP.
Mine has Mega 16/15/2 with Hacker Master Spin 44 ESC. With a 1300 TP 65C LiPo I could not get balance within 20mm of the recommended rear most point, even with the ESC less than 1mm behind the motor. I have therefore put the ESC behind the battery and partially beneath the rx behind the wing saddle, to get the heaviest component as far forward as possible. This gets the CoG within a couple of mm of the recommendation and 10g weight beneath the motor inside gets me there. I hate adding weight but having once flown a VIP with rearward CoG after the battery slipped back on launch I don't want to repeat that experience. I aim to maiden in the next day or two.
Overall I am very happy with the model and Hyperflight service. It will be interesting to see if the Voodoo is as fast as the VIP - one thread on RCG suggests it is very slightly slower on identical power setups. As long as it does not flutter flat out on about 500 watts into a 4.1x4.1 I shall be happy. (The VIP never exhibited any signs of flutter in 5 years of flying.)

VoodooBuying this little pylon racer has to be one of the best things I have purchased in many years. Although I own a lot of RC glow powered planes, this is by far the most pleasurable and interesting things that I now own.
Providing you set these up correctly they will leave your hand, giving you a straight forward and interesting flight.
They are very fast and agile in the air. You CAN NOT take your eyes of it once it has been launched on full power.
I found that not only does it fly very well on full power but equally flies really well on very little or no power, making landings quite easy. (depending on your approach and airspeed)
Depending on how much movement you add to the elevator and ailerons it can do very sharp crisp tight turns. Be careful if you are flying low as it would not take much to pile it into the ground .
If this is going to be your first pylon racer then I would suggest launching it on full power heading into the sky and once it is airborne come off the power and gentle fly it around until you feel confident flying it. Don't try and do too much on your first flight.
I have several rates on a three position switch, which allows me to choose between soft and hard turns. I would strongly recommend following the instructions to the letter regarding the amount of movement you add to the ailerons and elevator.
All in all this is a fantastic kit and I would highly recommend this for the experienced flyer. If you are still a novice and really want one of these, I strongly recommend you get someone to help you as you will come unstuck if you don't !!
Happy flying to all that buy these...There are great !!!
