Smile F3K is a great new discus launched glider from AJ Aeromodels. Like the Snipe it has very high aspect ratio wing, giving it a high launch and a great glide angle. The design shows a strong Snipe influence, employing similar pylon mounted tailplane. The stab is mounted above the boom, something many modelers prefer security wise
The wing and tail are beautifully molded from ultra-light spread carbon over a Rohacell 31 foam core. This makes the wing light, accurate, and comparatively tough and repairable if necessary. The lightweight tailplane (horizontal stabiliser) is mounted on a beautifully molded carbon pylon, which is mounted above the boom, out of the wing's wake. The fuselage is a very rigid spread carbon molding, with an adequately sized canopy hatch for RC installation. The model is supplied with horns, pushrods, and a very nice offset throwing blade. Generally the completeness of the kit and the quality of construction and detail design is excellent.
