Revolt F3L 2m

The Revolt by Tomas Hlavinka is the latest design in his range of highly acclaimed geodetic wing 2m RES gliders. You can't see the diagonal ribs in the photos, but they help keep the wing rigid, improving the performance at when the model is flying at speed.

Also the negative dihedral tailplane follows the latest trend in F5J, and may improve stability and controllability when circling.

Revolt is the third model in the series from Tomáš Hlavinka/HP model production.
Seven years of experience in the production of RES models, feedback from customers and a wealth of knowledge from top pilots from around the world have led to the development of a revolutionary new model for the international FAI F3L/F5L category. REVOLT is designed as a universal model for both F3L and F5L. It is not a special one designed mainly for F3L like Wiki. Revolt uses the unique shape and profile of the wing from Gerald Tylor. The characteristic feature of the Revolt model is the negative elevator (also known as the Mercedes tail), which can be controlled by one or two servos. The fuselage of the glider has a minimalist cross-section for the lowest possible frontal resistance. The front part is largely made of balsa and plywood for greater strength, the tail is supported by a carbon beam. The proven geodetic rib design has been used again. Same as the WIKI model. This method increases the required wing stiffness by an order of magnitude. The result is a lighter airframe with greater stiffness and a thinner wing profile for high penetration.

Weight boxes are built into the wings, allowing the addition of 120g of weight when using steel rods. Weight kits (steel and hardwood) with a useful plywood box are available as a separate kit.
