The Pulsar Pro 2 RES Sailplane is the latest version of the well regarded line of Pulsar 2m R/C models. Despite the photos showing electric and full house models, the ones we have for sale are definitely RES pure gliders.

The Pulsar Pro 2 is a very light high tech full house 2m glider that is optimised for sport flying. It uses the latest Ukrainian composite construction techniques married to a modern aerodynamic design with a wing utilising Mark Drela's slippery AG25 airfoil for best thermal duration performance. The low wing loading enables excellent thermal climb performance, with fully articulated wing controls allowing the model to be centred accurately in small turbulent thermals. The thin low drag airfoil works well over a surprisingly large speed range, allowing the model to be safely brought back after drifting far downwind.

The new Pulsar Pro 2 fuselage pod is beautifully molded from Kevlar with a large canopy hatch to give easy access to the battery and RC. The boom is a lightweight carbon molding with a molded tailplane mount and a bushed holes for mounting the vertical stabiliser. The tailplane and fin/rudder assembly are both removable for easy storage and transport. The rudder and elevator servos are mounted in the boom to help with CG location.

Like other quality thermal soarers the entire model is constructed using free-flight techniques. The wing is a balsa built-up carbon fibre and Kevlar D-box design that utilizes carbon capped balsa ribs and a carbon trailing edge. All the flying surfaces are expertly covered in Oracover Light, and all the control surfaces have been nicely hinged.

The three piece wing and two piece conventional tail are each easily removable for transport and storage. The careful use of composites, combined with a high quality design ensures a lightweight and rigid structure. This high performance model is perfect for the sports flyer who wants to experience top level performance with a compact and tough airframe.

Quality build super service

To start I ordered from hyperflight Sunday night, just 2 in stock and I had waited too long before. Tuesday 11.20 am hyper fast. Packaging to proof against earthquake.! Inside the model is close to finished two cables and 4 sevos and done...
Build quality is best I've ever seen, I could not have done as well at my best. So 5 stars for build. The 2 servo on spoilers intrigued me but on looking all becomes clear, put servo on plate below spoiler and the arm lifts it up. KISS (Keep it simple stupid) principle. An e band to keep it down, simple.... And nothing to go wrong. The wings in two colours compliment each other, clear film I can't wait to see in the sky. Servo shelf in I think glass cloth n resin in fuz lots of room so one to left other right. (hope it's right, it works without any play.) no instructions, but really none needed. Control runs straight and simple. Tail fin rudder and vert stab all finished just horns to put on. AND DONE. Bad news I live in the UK so November not the best for a test, so no flight yet but I'm very confident it'll go up. And spoilers will get it down. FYI you will need a hook I got the adjustable from HFlite. It's great.
