Description

The MKS HV6120 wing servo is the latest servo from MKS aimed at the F5J and light large glider market. It has mounting lugs suitable for wing (or tail surface) mounting. It is more powerful, faster, and considerably more robust than the DS6100 and HV6100 servos, and operates over a wide voltage range. It is rated for operation down to 3.5V making it safe for use on 1S LiPo batteries and up to 8.4V making it fine on 2S LiPo batteries also.

The HV6120 is ideal for F5J, F5D, and all small models that require excellent precision, massive torque, and adequate speed. It is possibly the best 8 mm thick servo produced so far. It looks beautiful and with a torque of up to 5.4 Kg cm it is amazingly powerful.

The MKS hallmark CNC aluminium alloy case adds rigidity and crash resistance to the servo. The gears are pre-loaded to remove all slop or backlash from the geartrain, allowing a level of precision unequalled by other manufacturers.

The extreme reliability and performance of these servos also makes them very suitable for use in film and motion picture industry special effect departments. They are also used in robotic, drone, UAV, UAS, academic research, military, and other highly demanding applications.

This is my second review for these servos - I liked them in the beginning and now I'm a repeat customer. I have retrofitted all my KST-08-variant F5J LDS flap servo emplacements using them (3 planes). Much superior to X08+. Good option for lighter-end F5J flaps.

These must be about the best 8mm servos around as of 2022. Very strong, fast, good centering. They are an almost perfect replacement fit into KST 08-type servo frames - one mounting hole needs to be extended 0.5mm (with a file) and the splines are just a bit tighter than the equivalent KST ones.

Great servo and tight

Great little servo. A great upgrade from Hitec 7115. No gear slop very tight compared to KST or Kingmax which have greater slop at 8mm thickness compared to their 10mm counterparts. From now on these will be the only 8mm servos I use. Excellent fast delivery time from Neil, thank you.
