The
MaxFlight F3K is an advanced 1.5m DLG-type glider featuring a convenient two-piece wing design. Combining superb performance with forgiving flight characteristics, this may be one of the most refined and enjoyable DLGs we offer. It is available in both four-servo (ailerons, rudder, elevator) and six-servo (ailerons, flaps, rudder, elevator) configurations, catering to pilots who value either simplicity or advanced aerodynamic control.
Key Features:
- Very high-quality all-carbon molded construction with a smooth, glossy finish.
- Spacious fuselage pod enables straightforward and clean RC installation.
- Excellent launch characteristics—easy to grip and throw, with impressive launch height.
- Outstanding glide performance and a broad speed envelope.
- Striking colour schemes and a superb surface finish for maximum visual appeal.
- Compact transport: two-piece wing, easily detachable fin and tailplane—fits in a box just 100 cm (40") long.
- Available in both 4-servo (flaperon) and 6-servo (separate aileron and flap) versions.
- Quick and hassle-free field assembly.
The wing is expertly molded from spread carbon with a Rohacell core, optimising strength, stiffness, and surface smoothness over time. It’s available in two control surface setups:
Flaperons – Each wing features a single control surface, driven by fuselage-mounted servos. These function as both ailerons and flaps, offering simplicity, lower cost, and reduced weight. This version requires only a 4+ channel receiver and minimal transmitter setup.
Separate Ailerons and Flaps – Each wing includes two distinct control surfaces. The inner flap is actuated by fuselage servos, while an outboard servo controls the aileron. This setup allows for greater flap deflection during landing, improving descent control and enabling operation from smaller fields. A 6-channel receiver and more advanced transmitter programming are required.
The fuselage is a sleek one-piece design with a removable nosecone for easy access to the radio compartment. The lightweight tailplane and fin are beautifully finished, with pre-hinged rudder and elevator surfaces that offer responsive handling.
Included Accessories:– All pushrods
– Pull cables for rudder and elevator
– Torque springs
– Control horns
Wings are supplied in protective thin foam sleeves but are also a perfect fit for our premium
DLG F3K Wing Bags for superior protection.
Minimal assembly is required to get airborne. While no official build guide is currently provided, a discount may be offered to any modeller willing to create a detailed and helpful build log.
