The Hyper 2.7me is an ultra lightweight 107" span electric soarer that really excels in light air. It is the very latest of the Hyper 2.x range and the extended wing improves the glide angle and reduces the already very low sink rate. The boom has also been extended to maintain the honest handling.

The Hyper 2.7me is beautifully made in Ukraine using the high tech composite construction techniques the USSR perfected. The large ailerons and flaps give the model a very good feel in the air, and allow the wing camber to be optimised for the current task, whether it is maximising the lift by increasing camber to stay in the core of the thermal, or decreasing camber to allow the model to be flown back upwind with minimal height loss.

The lightweight three piece wing is very rigid and strong. It is built with a substantial Kevlar wrapped carbon spar, a Kevlar/carbon D-box, carbon capped ribs and a carbon trailing edge. The ailerons, flaps and rudder are pre-hinged, making crow braking very effective, and ensuring accurate landings. The removable tailplane and compact dimensions allow the model to be transported easily. The fuselage incorporates a large canopy hatch to give good access to the powertrain. The rudder servo is designed to be housed in the fin, with the elevator servo fitted in the rear of the pod. The only work required to finish the model is to glue the boom to the pod, the fin to the boom, glue horns onto the control surfaces, and install the RC and powertrain. This shouldn't take more than a few evenings. Control horns are supplied, but pushrods will need to be supplied by the builder.

The canopy is held in place by two carbon tabs at the rear, and a tongue at the front. To release it unclip the rear tabs and ease it back.
The tailplane mount is already installed as part of the tailplane assembly, but is supplied pushed back into the void in the underside of the tailplane and isn't obviously articulated. To see it gently pull out the carbon mount, it rotates around the tubular spar.

Bought the hyper 2.7 me for the calm days we sometimes get , what a great model first flight i had with it caught a great thermal and had 1hr30 mins from one climb .It thermal very nicely and is well balanced with good precise turns either way. The only trim change was to add 2 cliks of up elevator but i played with safety with a forward CofG now moved battery's back some more and this should help.The build was very straight forward with no problems encountered. Many thanks to Hyper flight for a great model
