A pair of very high quality GM 13 x 10 F flat folding prop blades, suitable for HyperFlight's and other makes of folding prop yokes and spinners. These blades have less twist than usual, allowing them to fold flatter against a glider fuselage, reducing drag.

These blades are thinner (they have a higher aspect ratio) than normal folding propeller blades, allowing larger diameter blades to be fitted without pulling too much current. This increases the propulsive efficiency of the powertrain. The reduced twist (flatness) also allows them to fold closer to the fuselage, and cause less drag when folded than other props. The flatness does reduce the efficiency slightly, but this is more than offset by the improved glide. Note this product consists of two carbon propeller blades only. The central spinner/yoke assembly is not included. Also it is common for prop blades to not fit all spinner/yokes perfectly as supplied. It is often necessary to reduce the width the blade root slightly to ensure free folding movement. Also the cut out in the spinner cone often needs to be increased to allow the blades to fully extend. The root of the blade should not touch the spinner cone when the prop is fully opened.

Tight fit and good effiency

This GM 13x10F fits very well on the nose of an Avionik F5F, in combination with a spinner from Vladimir's and a rather light motor set-up (revolution of appr 8000rpm). The effiency is somewhat higher than with the former CFK propeller, I believe. I cosidered to apply the same GM propeller also on a second electric glider. But for that plane, the fit was too tight, causing a collison of the blades with the front edge of the fuselage
