The power that I needed.
After a long discussion with Neil I purchased this motor to power a Topmodel Thermic Dream glider. The nose is very narrow and suitable outrunners were causing problems and the Dualsky XM3850EG-8 Cased Outrunner fitted perfectly in the nose. It is mated with a Beatles 80amp ESC and powered with a 3S/4000mah Lipo battery. The folder prop I am using is a Carbon 14 x 10. Although, at 3kg, the glider is at the top end of the weight range for the motor I was delighted with the performance. This motor gets the glider to 200m in around 9 seconds and the angle of climb is about 70/80 degrees. Overall I am very happy with this purchase.
