This lovely carbon moulding can be used to securely mount the tailplane (also called horizontal stabiliser or hoz stab) on most discus launched glider fuselages. The mount (also called a pylon) has a nice airfoil shape and is faired into a conic section for bonding to the glider's tailboom. The rear is open to act as a fairing and actuation slot for the elevator horn. Although designed for the Smile it will work with many DLGs. It can be mounted above or below the boom.
The mount does not have the stab mounting holes drilled, allowing it to be used with practically all DLG tailplanes.
