Nice motor

I am using this on my Purito E - 450mAh 2S with a 9x6 propeller. Climbs to 60m in under 15 seconds. Roughly 105 Watts and the motor is rated at 120W. Probably a bit overpropped I have reduced the max throttle setting to bring this down a bit now gets to 60m in around 17 seconds.

Great little motor

I got this as an upgrade from my old DYS, I’ve coupled this with a sunrise 20A ESC and a 9x5 prop and a 3s 450 on my Purito. Tested in 12mph wind, hitting 60m in under 10 seconds.
Perfect.
Have used Hyperflight before and will continue to do so in the future. Always great service. 👍

DYS 2225 In F5RES Glider

My search for a suitable Motor / Prop / Battery combination to convert a F3RES Magic 2 into an F5RES example, has not been simple.
After several false starts, this DYS D2225-13 32g 2000 RPM/V has proven to be a great choice. With a diameter of just 22mm it fits in the nose of the fuselage, (just), and runs very smoothly.
Fitted with a 7” x 4” folding prop and power being supplied by a GNB 300 3S 80C HV Lipo, it can pull the 465 gram Magic 2 up to 60 meters in 15 seconds, and I can comfortably get 4 launches on one charge, an additional test was finding that the battery only needed 64 mah after 1 launch and a 15 minute flight.
The motor output measured at 140 Watts and is drawing 11.3 Amps. I did find when trying several batteries, a 350 mah 3S 25C battery was not man enough for the job, with significant power drop off after 6 – 8 seconds.
The temperature seems very manageable, I had 22 launches today with zero problems, so looking forward to a lot more use from this combination.
Highly recommended.
