If one can edit a review I don't know how. After reading my review of the Stiletto I wanted to add two points. Today I had one or two hard landings with zero damage. For a 185 gram model that's unexpected. I also wanted to say that Hyperflight gives excellent service. I get faster deliveries from Hyperflight in the UK than some of the suppliers I buy from in the USA!

When the Stiletto was flight ready, the weather wasn't. I live in the Seattle, Washington area and the smoke from fires in California blew up here. Then it rained. Finally, came the maiden and it went very well. I have to make little adjustments here and there but the performance is excellent. A 1.5M DLG is just too big for me and the Stiletto is perfect. I like that the fuselage is wide enough so that mounting the servos is not a pain. I used Pull-Spring for the elevator and rudder and my Stiletto weighs 185g. The construction and finish of the model are world-class!

What a super little glider. Its my first DLG so it took me a couple of sessions to get the hang of it, but hit my first thermal on my first day flying. It turns on a sixpence and goes up a treat. Its really quick when you need to move around, and amazingly tough I am a bit overambitious so some of my landings were a bit panicky, but it takes knocks really well. A solid 5 stars

First I have to say, that GB is more and more an Island for Europe and I have a little bit of cold feet to order. BUT: I was so suprised! Evrything was so fast and so well packed. Just great. I realy recommend Hyperflight to everyone very highly.
Asembling the plane was bretty easy, even for me as a absolut beginner. I finalize at 201g and search for my mistake: It was the weight of my accu with 30g! So the discription of Stiletto is also very good and correct from Hyperflight.
Flying: As I said I'm a beginner. It takes me Wonder, how many crashes the model survive. It flies very acurate and the plane would have a lot of fun with a better Pilot. But I try hard to improveÖ
Belive it or not: This is my first review! I oder a lot online but in this case I was very suprised about the Performance of Hyperflight and they earn recognition.

Box the size of a glider trailer landed here promptly, but what had I ordered!. Inside bubble rapped then suspended not touching any part of the box, my Stiletto DLG.
I was worried about the build. No instructions a prominent part of most reviews. But I down loaded the pictures and followed them one by one having studied all at the start. I'm not new to modelling, I was a mate of Orvill wright's but alot of the build was new to me. But the picture tells the story and build was easy if slow I'm 60, most things are!
I fitted a toe hook which I reinforced with carbon plus 0.5 mm carbon plate. I can't discus launch.
All went well trimmed it flys like I've never seen before. FYI. if new to Hyper flight's aircraft u need more room in front than you think, alot more. Carbon with the anti gravity formula is it.
I'm very happy with Hyperflight and their Stiletto 1.2.

This is an excellent 1.2 m DLG. Great value and very strong. I've been flying it for over 6 months with a lot of slope soaring in tough environments and it takes some real hard landings in stride. The Lift version is quite acrobatic. Mine weighed out at about 185 g. Highly recommended!

Hyperflight packing was superb. Strongest box I have encountered.
I purchased the Lift spread carbon version, the four Ripmax SD100 servos and the HyperLipo 2S 300 mAh LiPo, to obtain best power from these lightweight servos.
The Stiletto surface finish is great.
The rear wing bolt hole was very slghtly off centre... sorted.
The rudder hinge line needed a bit of sanding to improve the movement available.
Instructions are limited to a series of small photos, which seemed aimed at an experienced DLG builder. Next to nothing about building this model elsewhere. Only after finishing did I discover a review in French has a speed build in the second half of the YouTube view. This gives an idea for a servo frame, but then uses spring pulls on the rudder and elevator, rather than the 0.3mm inner steel rods supplied. I tried installing the supplied rudder cable with magnets, as per the official photos. This will work, if you first position the front end of the cable, where you intend it to connect to the servo arm. Having glued mine firmly to the fuselage wall all the way into the pod, the rod would not bend away from the wall enough for a friction free connection to a servo. With hindsight I'd also use the spring pull for the rudder and elevator.
My final build used carbon rods secured only at each end for these. This seems to be working.
I have had five flying sessions so far, with highest launch only 61 feet, so some learning involved to achieve the reported heights.
As a first carbon fibre DLG, I found the response of the flaps to be incredible. In a light breeze, one can bring the ground speed to zero and drop it the last few inches for a grass landing.
I am really enjoying flying the Stiletto.

5 Stars to Stiletto. Iím flying the lift and hot version right now. You can build a 180g dlg without any compromises related to strength and quality. Completely assembled in the backseat of the car you can use every second for dlg flying. Heights above 62 m are possible but in average about 55 m. Related to my daily use the biggest compliment to the quality and ruggedness of this dlg. Related to the price I would recommend this glider to everybody that likes dlg flying.

Purchased this DLG as a first time build. Prompt delivery service, arrived in a large rigid cardboard box. Build quality of the plane looks impressive. Doesn't come with any build instructions(hence 4 stars) so maybe a phone call to Neil for a few tips and youtube vids when i get round to the build.

I bought the Stiletto Lift about a year ago. Iím a complete novice. After some trials I converted the rudder then the elevator to spring pull.
This has to be one of the best small DLGs. As a new pilot and obviously new to DLG, lím amazed at how strong it is (no damage at all even though it has had some poor landings) and how well it flies.
Iíve now purchased the HOT wing to try.

a friend of mine introduced me to the world of DLG just a while ago, I was so impressed with the feather like glide I just had to get one , so I purchased a Stiletto lift, from Neil at Hyperflight, the kit arrived in a massive ,extra strong box just 2 days later, the build does require some planning as space is at a premium, (no build instructions included ) but not beyond the average modeller. A couple of days later I was able to test glide , just hand launching to set trims, unfortunately after a few flights the model landed a bit heavy and the tail boom snapped completely in half, upon closer inspection the carbon weave was very very thin at this one point and did feel softer than the rest of the model , I contacted Neil at Hyperflight ,who said he would split another kit and send me replacement parts for a nominal charge ,EXCELLENT customer care on his behalf. on making up the replacement fuselage, which did feel and look better finished, I did fit a piece of soft balsa spar grooved on each side with the tiny pushrod tubes C,A glued to its sides into the length of the fuselage to avoid any flexing of the tubes and rods, works a treat, my model has come out all up weight 173 grms, just waiting for some calm weather to test fly again !, many thanks to Hyper flight for an excellent model and service

First DLG build...
Several evenings were spent creating the servo mount, gluing the servo horns, cutting the slot for the throwing peg etc. Then more evenings spent gluing more bits together and then making the pushrod ends. Would be easier 2nd time around as instructions are minimal... so patience and determination are required in abundance. 185g* including 2s lipo and a variometer.
Once airborne it's a pleasure to fly. Responsive. Stable. Launches to 45m.
(Best with the variometer to give feedback on whether you're climbing or falling - got over 100m today). I found that pushrod-ends and horn-connectors need to be purchased (or made) in addition to what it comes with in the box to complete the build.
Make sure you drill holes to route the antennae externally else you might end up losing all signal and spiralling to the ground and snapping the fuselage, as irritatingly happened to me!
*now weighs 192g after a carbon fibre / epoxy repair. Good as new. Won't make same mistake again, though actually pleased as reinforcement has reduced flex in the tail.
Would recommend Hyperflight for excellent customer service.
Would recommend the Stiletto Lift for its performance. Lots of fun. Worth the assembly time.
4/5 as build instructions could be improved upon. Otherwise a great little plane.
