Carbon V mount for the Pro and Classic versions of the AVA - reverse front to suit your tailplane. Supplied with a custom machined alloy sleeve nut to retain the tailplane. Also ideal for own designed models.
Based on the Mark Drela design, this superb quality mount is hand crafted from high modulus carbon and keeps the tailplane above the turbulent flow near the fuselage. This increases the amount of laminar flow on the tailplane, reducing drag. Although it looks spindly it is in fact very strong, and none have ever failed in flight.
Boom fitting inside diameter: 12.7mm
Height of the tailplane mounting plate above the boom: 36mm

To further reduce drag it is recommended that the V leading edges are rounded, and all trailing edges are filed to a sharp point.
